The times, they are changin'!

This is me learning how to change my IV bag of fluids.
 I'm on a constant Zofran drip, 24/7.
Only a little blood spilled from the trainee inserting my IV.
Zipping up the backpack that carries my pump and IV fluids so I can take them with me everywhere I go!
David was doing a really good job listening to the in home nurses so I wouldn't have to remember how to change everything. He is such a good husband. I might wrap up the pack in a blanket like a baby to prepare for what is up next. That's right! We are having a baby!
David is super excited, and so am I, obviously! But I have also been keeping him up all night with my puking. We are hoping my home IV system will replenish my body and get be back up to speed.
We are so cute. We may look absolutely exhausted, but we are excited. Promise.
 My cool new back pack!

So, if you haven't seen us lately, here is the scoop. We are gonna have a baby! I am only 8 weeks but with my condition, we thought we would spread the news before people see me with a tube up my arm. David has been taking amazing care of me, so a big shout out to him! I have an amazing husband who has stepped up to all the responsibilities that a household requires with no help from me.
We are SUPER excited for the new changes that are happening.
Plus, a shout out to my mom who is going to come up and stay with us for a few days until I get back on my feet. Thanks everyone for your help!
Peace and blessings.

We Have Some Catching Up to Do...

It has been a really long time since we have posted a blog, so we decided to upload a few pictures of some of the major events over the last 6 months.

We saw the Northern Lights while we were in Alaska. Stayed up till 3 am to see them. That is a big deal for us tired, married folk.

Saw my Grandma and Grandpa Haueter and Grandma and Grandpa Hayter when we got back. Don't have a picture of they Hayters yet. It was so fun to see family and it reminded me that I have the coolest grandparents ever!

Went to Alexis' volleyball game. She is amazing! David says "Alexis finally got that pancake down." He takes all the credit but Lex, we know the truth.

We had a super fun bonfire with the Baers! The evening consisted of cutting my fingertip off with a peeler, driving around forever until we found a park to have the fire at, tinfoil dinners, and good company.

Went to Dallin's football game and found out he is a STUD! The entire game he was taking down boys a lot bigger than him. Dallin, I am very impressed!

Jensen is back from his mission! Old news, I know, but this was the first night I got to see him since he had been back. Love these two people with all my heart.

Obviously everyone had a birthday this year but we were fortunate enough to get to Mason's birthday party. There were cousins, cake, and nerf guns. What else could a Hayter family want?

David was able to go hunting this year and shot a couple ducks. Look at that face. Good lookin'? Yes.

The Hayters came for Thanksgiving. We all crammed into our apartment here in Idaho Falls. It may have been lacking in space, but it was so much fun to cook my first turkey, go bowling with all the pros, and stay up all night talking. It's great to have good company during the holidays.

My super hip family looking good under the neon!

I asked David to help me find my sweats. In response to my plea, David handed me his sweatshirt.

Shortly after the Hayters left the Scotts moved in. We had a ton of fun with them too! Christmas was also spent with great people and good times. There was never a dull moment in the apartment when the spare room is turned into a sauna (you know what I'm talking about Brooks and Alexis). Also, David, Dustin, and Brad were pretty entertaining when it game to Kinect games.

Took a trip down to Utah during a 3 day weekend. We were going to spend the weekend in Idaho but my loving parents wouldn't have it. They made sure we could spend some time with the fam and, boy, are we grateful! We went shooting, went to the movies, and ate great food.

David turned 24!!! Wahoo! My friend Shaleah helped me with the amazing cake decorations. Thanks to Brooks and her amazing ice cream cake recipe, we had mud pie for dessert.

Just a couple weeks ago we went to Washington to visit the family because Derek got back from his mission! We went shooting, watched Alexis throw discus (she is an amazing athlete!), and sported our AMAZING wolf shirts that David and I found in Alaska. Best purchases ever.
