(insert something witty that preferably rhymes and pertains to the post)

So we've kind of been slacking on this whole "blogging" thing. It kind of feels like homework at times. Anywho, this is a picture of the view from Reid Falls. We went on a 4 mile little excursion/hike/walk from our apartment to the Gold Rush Cemetery and from there to the falls, which are just a stone's throw away. It was really refreshing.

The mysterious and magical Alaskan Fireweed. We have it on a few Tshirts that we sell at work... but we're not 100% positive that it was fireweed... or that the flowers on the shirts at work that claim to be fireweed are in fact, fireweed.

We found a nugget of gold that was so heavy that no prospectors could ever take it. Especially because it was chained to a tree. Actually it was just a huge rock that required a few cans of spray paint to make a perfect background for tourists in matching clothing to take pictures.

Addi lookin' good in front of the falls.

Awkward slanted rock picture. That Dynex tripod is coming in QUITE handy.

Addi still lookin' good in front of the falls.

Blue Steel. 'Nuff said.

More pictures at the falls.

Shrimp was on sale at the grocery store. Soooooooo we bought a pound. Addi made a delicious main course, and I made the instant potatoes. I love shrimp. I love garlic. I love butter. The three naturally go well together. Bacon bits might have been the only possible addition.
This one's for Leeshie. I played basketball a few days before we came up to Alaska, when my left foot had swollen due to a reaction to the medicine for my wart. I hobbled around on my right foot for about an hour before deciding it was time to call it quits. The result was a blood blister that remained for nearly 2 months. Cool huh?

We have fun together. On GUARD! Oh yeah, and there are my potatoes in a tupperware thing.

I looooooooove shrimp.

Top notch quality. Addison can cook.
So this was on our way out to the falls. We found an old tipped over train car and just decided to take a few silly pictures.

Addi caught me doing some stretches of the gluteus maximus.

This one is for Chris Andrews and Alesha too. Remember the picture of him doing that in Mexico out of the front of una lanchita?

Well, these last few pictures are from July 3rd at about 11 p.m. The firework crews had to work in a nearby town the following night (tonight), so our show was last night. It was a little chilly, but it was fun to go down to the docks and see some fireworks. Until our next adventure, Bye Bye.

  6. Alesha: Thanks! It is a work and progress.
Brandon: He went in to get a hair cut and the lady said she would trim his beard for him. He came out of the hair appointment with a multi-lengthed beard. Some of his beard was super short and some was super long in patches. It looked terrible so he shaved it all off. The beard is no more, however, it might make a comeback.
